Everything you need to be understood.
Dime is built around real conversations — not single phrases. Here's how the pieces fit together.
Three ways to talk
Quick Translate
Hold the mic or type, and get a clean translation you can read aloud or copy. The fastest way to say one thing, right — like asking for directions or reading a menu.
Where's the nearest pharmacy?
¿Dónde está la farmacia más cercana?
Side-by-Side conversation
Chat bubbles you both watch on one screen, your words on one side and the translation on the other. Best when you're sitting next to someone.
Is breakfast included?
¿El desayuno está incluido?
Sí, de 7 a 10 de la mañana.
Yes, from 7 to 10 in the morning.
Perfect, thank you!
¡Perfecto, gracias!
Table Mode
The screen splits and flips 180°, so the person across the table reads their language right-side-up while you read yours. Each side has its own mic. No passing the phone back and forth.
¿Vamos a compartir la cuenta?
Shall we split the bill?
Sounds good to me.
Me parece bien.
Speak it or type it
Push-to-Talk
Hold the mic, speak, release. The most accurate way to capture exactly what you said. On every plan, including Free.
Always-On
Hands-free. The app listens and detects when you're speaking, so you can just talk. Foreground only — it stops the moment you leave the app, by design. On paid plans.
Text mode
Prefer to type? Switch to text and translate silently — handy in quiet rooms or noisy ones. Works in every language.
Translation that gets the nuance
Dime uses a large language model, so it reads idioms, slang and context the way a person would — then speaks it back in a natural voice. Pick a male or female voice and slow it down when clarity matters.
Works without a signal
Download language packs ahead of time and keep translating with no internet — on the plane, in the mountains, off the grid. Offline accuracy is lower than online, and the app tells you clearly when you're in offline mode.
Your conversations, kept private
Every conversation is saved on your device so you can look back later. Export a transcript to PDF or email on paid plans, and delete anything — or everything — whenever you want.
