Privacy Policy
This is a plain-language summary provided for transparency. The full legal version will be published here before launch.
The short version
Your audio is never stored on our servers. Your conversations never train AI. Your conversation history is saved on your device by default, not in the cloud. You can delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time.
How translation works
When you speak or type, audio and text are sent securely to our translation service, processed in real time, and returned to your device. Audio is not retained after the translation is produced.
What we collect
To run the app we process: your account email (for sign-in), subscription status (via our payments partner), anonymous usage analytics, and crash reports. We use these to operate the service, fix problems, and understand which features people use.
Service providers
We rely on trusted providers including Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, messaging), RevenueCat (subscription management), and error-monitoring tools. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send you timely updates (such as a reminder before a Travel Pass expires). You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Your choices
You can delete your account and associated data from within the app. To request deletion of any data held server-side — purchase records, crash logs, or analytics — contact support@dimetranslate.app.
Children
Dime Translate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
